The Students’ Union for the academic year 2025–26 at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, was formed with the objective of fostering student leadership, participation, and collaboration in all academic and co-curricular activities of the institution. The newly elected union is led by Parthan as chairman and Pavitra as vice chairperson, with Lubaba serving as general secretary and Fathima Rinshiya as joint secretary. Shanu Nazal holds the position of university union councillor (UUC), while Shabana serves as fine arts secretary and Fahmida as editor. Sooraj leads as the general captain. The union aims to promote student welfare, uphold democratic values, and organize a range of programs that enhance campus life and nurture leadership, creativity, and social responsibility among students.

The Talent Day Programme of the 2025–27 B.Ed batch, titled “നവ 2K25”, was organized by Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad on 25th August 2025 at the college auditorium. The event aimed to provide a creative platform for student teachers to exhibit their hidden talents and artistic skills.The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. M. P. Narayananunni, who highlighted the importance of cultural and co-curricular activities in developing a holistic teacher personality. He encouraged students to use every opportunity to enhance their confidence and creativity.

Convocation Ceremony for the B.Ed. Batch 2023–25 of Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, was held on 25th September 2025 at 10.00 a.m. in the College Auditorium. The event was organized to celebrate the successful completion of the academic journey of the outgoing batch and to mark their formal transition from student teachers to professional educators. The programme began with an academic procession followed by a prayer song that created a solemn and inspiring atmosphere. The Principal extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, faculty members, students, and parents, highlighting the academic achievements and holistic growth of the graduating batch.
The chief guest for the ceremony was Prof. (Dr.) T. Mohamed Saleem, Principal of Farooq Training College and Syndicate Member of the University of Calicut. In his keynote address, he emphasized the noble role of teachers in shaping future generations and underlined the importance of dedication, continuous learning, and ethical responsibility in the teaching profession. His address inspired the graduating students to uphold professional values and contribute meaningfully to society through education. The Principal, in his remarks, appreciated the efforts and perseverance of the students and expressed gratitude to the faculty for their constant support and commitment to excellence in teacher education.
The formal distribution of certificates was the highlight of the ceremony. The chief guest presented the certificates to the graduates, congratulating them for their academic success and wishing them a bright future ahead. The entire event was conducted with academic dignity and emotional warmth, symbolizing both achievement and new beginnings. To enable wider participation, the ceremony was also live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of the college, allowing parents, alumni, and well-wishers to witness the proud moments virtually.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the management, chief guest, faculty members, and organizing committee for their collective effort in making the ceremony a grand success. The Convocation Ceremony 2023–25 was a memorable and inspiring occasion that reflected the college’s commitment to nurturing competent and compassionate educators while upholding its vision of academic excellence and value-based teacher education.

Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, in collaboration with the Council for Teacher Education Foundation (CTEF) Kerala, organized a National Seminar on “Navigating the Digital Wave in Education: Redefining Culture and Society” on 15th October 2025. The seminar aimed to explore the transformative impact of digitalization on education, culture, and society. The programme began with a prayer and a welcome address by Mrs. Rajitha N K, Seminar Coordinator, followed by a briefing on the theme by Mr. Kunhimoideen P, IQAC Coordinator Dr. M P. Narayananunni, Principal, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of integrating digital literacy into teacher education. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Rajendrakumar Anayath, Hon’ble OSD, Government of Haryana, and former Vice Chancellor of DCRUST University, who highlighted the evolving digital paradigm and its role in redefining learning and social interaction.
Felicitations were offered by Prof. Dr. Habeebu Rahman P.M., Prof. Dr. Smitha R., and Dr. Sajan K.S. A key highlight of the event was the signing of an MoU between Salafiyya Training College and CTEF Kerala, marking a new phase of collaborative academic growth. The vote of thanks for the inaugural session was proposed by Mr. Manzoor Ali P, President, Alumni Association.
The seminar featured two insightful technical sessions: Dr. Sajan K.S. led the first on “Harnessing Digital Tools to Enhance Teaching and Learning,” and Mr. Gafur Attur, AI Trainer and Director of Tech Bros, conducted the second on “Empowering Education Through AI Tools.” The paper presentation session, chaired by Dr. T.S. Ramachandran and Dr. K. Ramachandran, provided a platform for scholars to present their research on digital transformation in education. The valedictory session was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) P. Raveendran, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut. Mr. K. Anvar Sadath, CEO of KITE, delivered the valedictory address, focusing on Kerala’s leadership in digital education and the future of technology-enabled learning. The session also included participant feedback and certificate distribution. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Sudheesh P., Joint Seminar Coordinator, followed by the National Anthem.
The seminar provided an engaging and thought-provoking platform for educators and researchers to exchange ideas and insights on navigating the digital era and its cultural and educational implications.

The Students’ Union inauguration for the academic year 2024-2025, titled Dhanaak 2k24, was held on November 6, 2024, at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad. The event marked the beginning of a vibrant academic year, focusing on empowering students through leadership opportunities and cultural integration.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Philip Mampad, a renowned social media influencer known for his motivational insights and contributions to digital engagement. His keynote address centered on the theme of creativity, the power of networking, and the role of social media in shaping student leadership and career growth.
The program commenced with an invocation song performed by the college choir, followed by a welcome speech delivered by the Union Advisor. The Principal officially inaugurated the Union by lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the start of the academic and cultural endeavors for the year.

On October 10, 2024 Thursday all colleges under University of Calicut went through the election for the academic year 2024-2025. As a part of it, the election was conducted in the institution. With very much excitement, Students have casted their votes to different position.
The Convocation Ceremony for the graduating batch of 2024 was held at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, on October 23, 2024. The event marked a significant milestone in the lives of the students, celebrating their academic accomplishments and equipping them for future endeavors.
The ceremony was inaugurated by the esteemed chief guest, Sri. Irshad IRS, Deputy Director of Income Tax Investigation (Northern Region). His inspiring address emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and integrity in achieving professional and personal success. He also shared valuable insights from his experiences in public service, motivating the graduates to contribute meaningfully to society.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the Principal’s welcome address. The Principal congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to uphold the values instilled during their time at the college.
